The TippyType intends to give typists with long nails better typing speed, accuracy, and comfort for their users. The primary user needs/goals that it is meant to meet are to allow typists with long nails to comfortably type on their existing keyboard (one of the six models TippyType fits).
The main areas to be evaluated are the website as a whole, plus specific activities related to lead capture and conversion.
Methods:
Heuristic Evaluation
Usability Test Script Writing
Usability Sessions
Findings & Recommendations Report
In order to write a script for our usability sessions analyzing the TippyType website, we first conducted a heuristic analysis, using a set of established design guidelines to discover pain points a user might encounter.
HEURISTIC ANALYSIS HERE
Next, we conducted seven usability sessions, asking users a series of questions and having them complete tasks to understand how their experience goes.
I then consolidated my notes into a large Figma file, organized according to user.
It may seem tiny, but there are 197 post-its there, including 49 in the bottom section- I always appreciate a usability session where the user is willing to rant!
After analyzing the sessions, I created a Findings and Recommendations Report. You can find the entire report here. I have also pulled excerpts, seen below.
Next steps:
I would continue to prototype recommendations, making them high fidelity and interactive.
